Club Jameco Announces Top Electronics Kit Designer
Electronics Hobbyists Earn Cash for Designing Electronics ProjectsBelmont, CA – Club Jameco, a website where electronics hobbyists can earn cash for designing electronics projects, announced today that its top designer earned over $700 in commissions during the fourth quarter of 2012.
Ari Dubinsky, an electrical engineering student at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, designed a do-it-yourself (DIY) kit to make an ornamental LED cube using the Arduino platform.
"I thought it was cool enough that Club Jameco published my designs on their site, but to actually see my project become a kit that people buy and then get paid for it... it's really exciting," said Dubinsky.
Club Jameco is a site where any electronics enthusiast can design a project writing step-by-step instructions. The project is then manufactured as a kit and the Club Jameco designer earns a commission of up to 10% on every kit sold.
"In its brief existence, Club Jameco has attracted over 100,000 visitors to the website and more than 700 different electronics project designs have been submitted," said Greg Harris, Vice President of Marketing for Jameco Electronics.
