James Farrey has worked at Jameco since 1983, building up over 25 years of management experience. James has worked in virtually every department within the organization and is unmatched in terms of understanding the company's combined workings. James loves talking to customers and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to solve problems.
James graduated from Santa Clara University. When he gets a break from his busy schedule, James enjoys playing golf and going to the movies with his family.
James appreciates the fact that Jameco is a small, family-oriented company. "Being smaller allows all of our departments the opportunity to interact with each other and build a higher quality service for our customers."
Vice President of Marketing & Sales
Greg Harris has only been at Jameco since 2008 but has already proven to be an integral part of the company. He is responsible for demand generation including both sales and marketing. While new to Jameco, Greg has over 20 years of experience in catalog marketing, e-commerce, building websites, and leading sales teams.
Greg holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. In his free time, Greg enjoys photography and sports (watching more than playing).
Greg is proud of the fact that Jameco is an incredibly flexible company. "We can get an e-mail from a customer in the morning and have an entire new direction by the end of the day. That's what it really means to be customer driven." He says.
Vice President of Purchasing, Product Marketing and Technical Support
Gil Orozco has been at Jameco since 2000. He is the one person at Jameco with the responsibility of anticipating our customers' every need.
He works with all of Jameco's suppliers to ensure our customers get the right selection of products to meet their design requirements at the best prices in the industry. In addition to having the right product, he is also responsible for answering our customers' technical questions on all of the 50,000 products we carry.
Before arriving at Jameco Gil worked for San Francisco Bay Area companies Penn Computing, OnSale.com, and Egghead.com. He attended Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California and in his free time, Gil enjoys sports and chasing around two young children at home.
Gil is Jameco's expert at making the work day fun and says he "loves interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues alike."
Director of Information Technology
Matt Smith has been a part of Jameco since 2007 with the mission of building company efficiency with the application of infomation technology through all aspects of the company. From the phone system that takes your orders, to the systems that generate them and send them out the door.
Matt and his team are constantly working on implementing ongoing company projects including evolving the Jameco website to ensure ease of use, depth of product content all backed by ultimate security. Matt has the ability to both see the big picture and manage the details, but unfortunately, he doesn't like to smile in photographs.
Matt graduated from Oberlin College. He has over 25 years of experience managing commerce systems and when he isn't working, he enjoys reading and growing Chile peppers – the super spicy variety.
