Bid Desk Manager

Responsible for managing all RFQ’s for the company. Performing triage to prioritize quotes for different levels of sales investment, and the pursuit of these customers and deals through to close. This person will play a key role in pricing, competitive analysis, and working with the Jameco product team to increase the company’s win ratio. The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual that thrives in a quick paced -- short sales cycle environment. The right candidate must be confident in dealing with our existing customers, and be ready to orchestrate the Jameco team to address customer concerns, resolve product issues, and support the customer. Written and phone skills are a must. Requires a highly organized individual that let’s nothing fall through the cracks.

RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Fielding all requests for quotation from existing and prospective customers
  • Source new sales opportunities through in-bound lead follow-up and outbound customer calls
  • Managing the quotation process
  • Providing or orchestrating technical advice as needed
  • Resolving customer issues
  • Owning CRM documentation
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2 years of sales or sales related experience
  • Communicate effectively via phone and e-mail
  • Active listener
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced sales environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Helpful Skills:
  • Conversational Spanish
  • Negotiation
