Coaster Bot Challenge Kit
In May of 2010, Jameco and Make held a Build a CoasterBot contest... a mini robot development platform using CD/DVD discs as the main body components. The goal was to create a robot that has the ability to navigate a space on its own, avoiding obstacles, and that has the ability to have additional sensor systems (proximity, heat, light, sound, etc.) added "on top" of this base behavior. Contestants were free to use CD/DVD media in any way they choose and extra points were given for creativity and innovation in the overall design.
Now you can build your own Coaster Bot with this complete kit that includes everything you need. Just provide any chassis or platform you'd like and your Coaster Bot is ready to roll!
NOTE: A USB-TTL programmer is required to program the Ardweeny (Not included, we recommend P/N 2117341)
