8x8 RGB LED Matrix Display Module


Add 64 brilliant, colorful LEDs to your next project! Each pixel in the display's 8x8 matrix can display millions of different colors. Based on the Propeller P8X32A, the display comes pre-programmed with feature rich firmware supported by a detailed command set. You can control the module from a single microcontroller I/O pin.

  • RGB-888 capability makes 16,777,216 different colors available for each pixel
  • Built-in support for 5x8 pixel ASCII characters on single modules, 8x16 characters for multiple modules
  • 3-pin headers allow easy interfacing to microcontrollers, only one I/O pin is needed
  • 4-pin header for the Prop Plug provides access for firmware updates or direct configuration from a computer
  • Modules are designed to interconnect to make a larger display screen
  • Reprogrammable, so you can modify the factory C (PropGCC) firmware or the optional Spin firmware
