Jameco Electronics Customer Appreciation Day
Celebrating 40 Years of Service
An afternoon filled with sunshine, smiles and electronics fun set the scene for Jameco's first-ever Customer Appreciation Day. Almost 150 customers stopped by Jameco in Belmont, California to help us celebrate our 40th anniversary.Customers saw festive blue and white balloons and a large blue tent packed with electronics kits, food and prizes. But the biggest attraction of all was a chance to tour the Jameco warehouse. Although it wasn't quite a tour through a chocolate factory owned by Willy Wonka, many clamored for a glimpse of Jameco's famous electronics toy store.

Everyone was greeted by Jameco team members and shown some of our favorite products in action:

The Velleman K8200 3D Printer Kit was hard at work printing a red cone during the event. We also displayed some of the items we've printed (shown above, left to right) including a red heart-shaped dish, bunny head, bottle opener, basket-weave bowl and white Christmas ornament.

The J-Bot cruised around customers, showing off its ease of use and capturing candid photos with an attached camera.

The colorful snap-together pieces of the littleBits Deluxe Kit and hypnotic LEDs of the RGB Infinity Mirror Kit were both crowd pleasers.

But, it was definitely the RC Logger RC Eye One S Quadcopter that grabbed everyone's attention. Not only was it a popular demo, it was one of the great prizes you could win by spinning our prize wheel.

Everyone was encouraged to spin the wheel, and every spin was a win! After winning a prize, enjoying a snack and checking out some cool electronics kits, customers were treated to a very rare, behind-the-scenes look at Jameco.
The warehouse tours were easily everyone's favorite part of Customer Appreciation Day. These tours took you into the heart of Jameco and were particularly special because they were guided by members of Jameco's Management Team.

During a tour, guides gave an overview of the different areas within the warehouse, showed off our organizational skills and explained how we keep track of so many tiny components.

At the end of each tour, Greg (above, far left) and Paul (above, far right) happily answered questions and chatted with customers who wanted to know more about how Jameco works.
Thank you again to everyone who stopped by and helped us celebrate. We loved getting to know some of Jameco's fans and long-time customers in person!
