Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager provides daily functional leadership and executional excellence in order fulfillment to ensure achievement of business goals through quality on-time deliverables and a positive customer experience. He or She will bring outstanding communication skills and provide leadership to Jameco in the development and implementation of logistical best practices, internal processes and vendor management.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited University/College or equivalent experience.
  • A true leader with a top-performing skill set encompassing the ability to develop internal systems for efficient logistical processes, critical analysis, issue identification, team-building and communication.
  • Must be a self-starter who embraces change and exhibits superior problem-solving skills.
  • 5+ years of management experience in freight management, distribution, inventory, warehousing, logistics and order management is essential. Must have outstanding working knowledge of current logistical systems and best practices.
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management with UPS, FedEx, freight forwarders and logistical service providers.
  • A self-motivated, detail and results-oriented individual that must be able to work effectively in a high volume, multi-tasking & fast-paced environment with all levels of management.
  • Capable of building productive relationships internally and externally across management and functional levels.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the consumer electronic industry and international logistics is a plus.
  • Strong business systems knowledge highly-desired (MS Dynamics AX, MS Office suite).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all inbound and outbound shipments and related activities. Includes inventory and stock management, processing orders and warehouse transfer activities.
  • Maintains receiving and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing and carriers to meet necessary parameters, customer requirements, specs and costs.
  • Ownership of all freight/shipping vendor relationships. Lead and conduct annual rate audits, negotiation, rates & contracts.
  • Prepare, maintain and communicate all operational goals while ensuring all procedures are being followed per company guidelines.
  • Perform managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in customer-facing requirements and provide solutions for day to day challenges.
  • Provide superior customer service by maintaining professional and courteous relationships with all customers and vendors.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders as well as customers to establish and accomplish goals.
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop staff to achieve objectives & conduct performance reviews as required.
  • Participate in the recruitment and new hire on-boarding process as required.

Education:

Senior Dynamics AX Developer

We are looking for an Dynamics AX expert who is seeking a unique challenge and a chance to make a big difference in our organization in a critical area of our business. As a member of the Jameco IT Team, the Dynamics AX Developer II serves as the in-house leader in supporting and modifying our Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP system. Programming duties include troubleshooting existing applications as well as customizing AX to provide new features. In creating new applications, the developer works closely with end users and managers, performing and documenting all phases of the SDLC: gathering and analysis of requirements, designing the solution, coding, testing, deployment, and user training. Functional duties include AX configuration and administration, user support, and advising Jameco on AX best practices. This work is performed under the general direction of the IT Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Modifies existing programs, and writes new programs conforming to AX best practices
  • Troubleshoots and fixes bugs and performance issues in AX applications
  • Creates and modifies SSRS reports
  • Creates and modifies SSAS data cubes
  • Knows when to use existing AX functionality and when to customize
  • Writes code to integrate AX to the web and other systems
  • Sets and meets deadlines. Creates and follows a project plan for larger projects
  • Creates technical and functional documentation
  • Assists the System Administrator with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Dynamics AX and related software (SQL, SSAS/BI, MR)
  • Provides support and advice to non-technical users
  • Works independently as well as collaborating with end users, managers, and fellow members of the IT Team
  • Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math or Engineering
  • 4+ years X++ coding experience, including at least two years AX 2012 R2/R3
  • Experience with multiple AX functional modules
  • Experience building AIF applications
  • Experience creating and maintaining SSRS reports
  • Familiarity with MorphX IDE, and all development and debugging tools
  • Experience installing and configuring AX and related components
  • Expertise with additional languages and tools: SQL, XML, .Net (C# or other), Visual Studio
  • Familiarity with web technologies a plus (Java, Javascript, PHP, HTML, JSON, REST/WSDL/SOAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Familiarity with Omnica MCR a plus
  • Microsoft AX Developer certifications a plus
  • Distribution industry and supply chain fulfillment experience a plus
