Science Journal Android App with Arduino 101 (Electronics Bundle)
Everyone can be a Maker. Whether you can code, build, cook or fix something broken, making is creating projects that improve the world around you. Everyone can be a scientist too, and science is experimentation, observation and understanding. Making is a fantastic way to learn about science through hands-on projects that increase engagement, nourish curiosity and spark a lifelong interest in learning.
You will be able to gather and record data and see it in real-time through the Science Journal Android app. The making and science activities written by the Exploratorium are geared for 10-14 year olds and utilize features of the Science Journal. With the materials, electronics and activity guide, you will learn how to connect various sensors and play with materials to build projects like a wind spinner and measure RPM with the Science Journal. This kit is ideal for schools and museums, families at home and even experienced DIYers.
The Arduino 101 has more memory than the Blend board, so if you'll be expanding the programming, you may want this version of the kit.
SmartPhone Requirements: Your phone must support BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and be running Kit Kat or above to use the App with the kit.
Note: This kit only contains the electronics for the Science Journal app. The other two kits contain the craft parts for building some of the projects.
