Parallax created this development tool in order to provide developers using five volt microcontroller (like our BASIC Stamp series) to have easy access to a PC's USB port using the FTDI virtual device drivers. This tool is also a reference design for customer applications using the FTDI chip in-circuit. USB power, no external supply required
Four-pin female SIP connector with 0.1" spacing to interface to the microcontroller circuit
Red and blue LEDs to indicate TX and RX activity
Supports standard and custom baud rates, 300 baud to 3 Mbaud

Communication: Full speed USB, full duplex 5 V non-inverted TTL serial from 300 baud to 3 Mbaud
