Recommended for high volume applications or those with limited PCB real estate, the BASIC Stamp 2 (DIP) interpreter chip can be used on your own PCB as an OEM solution. All of the features that you have grown to appreciate in the corresponding BASIC Stamp 2 module are available through using an OEM design. The three main components needed to build your own BASIC Stamp are the PBASIC Interpreter Chip as shown on this page, EEPROM, and resonator.
This interpreter chip (PBASIC2/P) is the replacement for the former interpreter chip (PBASIC2C/P). No firmware changes or electrical changes are required in designs using this part as opposed to the previous part; they are fully compatible with each other.
Features:
Supports PBASIC 1.0, 2.0 & 2.5
Small footprint on a PCB ideal for OEM designs
Easily replaceable if socketed into PCB
Package Type: 28-pin DIP
Interpreter chip is preprogrammed with the BASIC Stamp 2 Interpreter firmware
