Overview

This components pack contains all the requisite components to venture into the fundamentals of transistors (BJT-bipolar junction transistor) through an exciting mix of hands-on experiments and activities. This pack contains the following projects:

1. Identify the type of transistor using a multimeter- Use a multimeter to determine whether the transistor is a NPN or PNP
2. Measure the gain of a transistor
3. B-E junction as diode in a transistor - Understand the base-emitter junction of a transistor behaves like a diode
4. Transistor as an amplifier and switch- learn how to use a transistor as an amplifier and as a switch, explore the cut-off, active and saturation regions, identify the biasing conditions for all the three regions and calculate beta in active and saturation regions.
