The PQC160 and PQCF160 series are high-performance, durable surge protective device (SPDs) with cutting-edge features that shields your facility's electrical equipment from lightning-induced power surges, utility power generation/distribution systems, and inductive load switching equipment. It is designed for large equipment applications (eg. HVAC), distribution panels, MCCs, branch panels, lighting panels, and service entrance applications.
The PQC160 and PQCF160 are automatic in operation, resetting after activation to provide continuous protection of electrical equipment. They both feature pre-wired remote monitoring contacts.
The PQC160 standard series is UL Type 1 listed (automatically suitable for UL Type 2) and can be installed before or after the service equipment overcurrent device, with or without a dedicated circuit breaker for the SPD.
The PQCF160 with EMI Filter option is UL Type 2 listed and can be installed after the service equipment overcurrent device. The PQCF160 EMI Filter series shields your facility equipment from internal transients such oscillating ring waveforms, which are usually caused by switch-mode power sources used in most contemporary electronic devices. The Ground Reference feature of the PQCF160 shows whether the potential between neutral and ground is greater than about 20 V.
ISO 9001:2014 Quality Management System; ISO 17025:2007 Laboratory Certification (UL® DAP); and 100% quality tested before shipment.
