This intermediate project will cover a number of concepts fundamental to analog electronics - frequency, filters, signal & ground relationship, etc. - as well as incorporating build techniques from past installments of the series.
I'll explain the basic functionality of an LED color organ ("sound-to-light" circuit) - and of course build it! The initial description will follow the circuit's schematic covering the role of each major component involved, which will demystify all of the actual physical connections I solder during construction. And the result of this educational build process - an LED lightshow controlled by music!
This kit is called "customizable" because you layout the components on the blank PCB according to your preference. An easier drop-and-solder version is now available! See our Easy Color Organ Kit here.

**Note: You will need a 12 volt power supply to power the board. We recommend Jameco P/N: (252824).
